SPIRITUAL HEALING
Spiritual Healing is available every Tuesday evening 6.30pm to 7.30pm
You do not have to be a member of the church to receive healing as it is open to everyone, regardless of colour, creed, faith, belief, or non belief; all that is necessary is an open mind.
Healing is always given by Qualified Approved Healers of The Spiritualist National Union (SNU), and may be assisted by Trainee Healers who undertake a two-year training program of theoretical and practical training.
Spiritual Healing is nothing new, from the most primitive to the most highly sophisticated civilization in the world has, at some point in its evolution, become conscious of the natural healing potential which surrounds, not only man, but every form of life.
Spiritual Healing is defined by the SNU as being “The use of forces and energies from the world of Spirit, channelled through the healer by the laying on of hands (contact healing), or near the body, or prayer or thought from a distance (Absent Healing)”.
Healing is always given in the presence of other healers and patients. You are not required to remove any clothing except perhaps an outer coat. The Healer will explain what is involved and they will normally make some personal contact, with your permission, by placing their hand on your shoulders or by holding your hands. This is done purely to establish a bond or blending with you so that they can create a link that will allow the healing energies to flow. The healer will then normally place their hands either very close to, or with your permission, gently on the body, but never in an embarrassing area of the body.
If you are not comfortable with this, they will proceed with near-to-body healing (holding their hands about 2-3 inches away from you) so that you will not be touched. If at any time you wish them to stop you have only to say.
Gentle music is played during the healing sessions to create a peaceful atmosphere in which you may just sit and relax if you do not wish to have healing.
